Istanbul University was established in 1453 by the Ottoman swayer Mehmed II.[1] but, Richard Honig,

On twenty one Gregorian calendar month 1924, the Republic of Turkey recognized the Istanbul Darülfünûnu as a state college, and on
7 Oct 1925, the executive autonomy of Istanbul Darülfünûnu was recognized whereas the faculties
(within the previous Medrese system) became fashionable schools.
On one August 1933, Istanbul Darülfünûnu was reorganised as Istanbul Üniversitesi (Istanbul University)
following the tutorial reforms of Ataturk Atatürk. categories formally began on one Gregorian calendar month
